I know I promised a post with all our decisions but I need to interrupt that for a second because, THINGS ARE HAPPENING!

The foundation is being laid, and we couldn't be more excited! In a couple of weeks we'll go meet our Superintendent for a walk through of our property, and finally get a better idea of our backyard's size.

That's also when the countdown starts for our closing date. Currently, I'm guessing that around February they'll finish and we can move in.

Ok, now for the sneak peek of what we chose at the Design Studio:

Our surrounding kitchen cabinets will be white, with all pulls (no knobs). The countertops are upgraded to a dark gray quartz. And we went with a subway tile backsplash - which was the standard option (!!) with a darker gray grout to make them pop.
The huge island in the middle will have gray cabinets and a beautiful slab of quartz that sparkles (technical term).

We'll have hardwood throughout the first level, and a light gray carpet up the stairs and on the second floor.

Speaking of stairs, they will be open railing like this:

We chose a light gray called, "On the Rocks," that will be painted throughout.

The bathrooms and the laundry room will have gray cabinets like our island does. We'll have a standard tub/shower for Logan's bathroom, and an amazing spa like shower and seperate tub in ours. We also sprung for the large subway tiles like we saw in the showroom (however our fixtures will be chrome - to be upgraded later).

Well I know this doesn't cover all of it, but I didn't take many serious pictures at the studio. I think it was busy riding on a cloud of happiness. Plus, it will make the final walk through even more awesome!

* While we are over the moon to be building this house, it is not lost on us that many people have recently lost everything, along with their homes. We've been pitching in what we can, when we can, and we encourage you to do the same too 💕
