Guys! I am so excited to share this with you. It was a legit project that involved painting and sawing wood, lots of trips to Lowe's, nagging sessions, and hours of hugging a toilet.
Behold our water closet:
We've been working on this for weeks now. You may have seen some sneak peaks on my Insta stories.
For example, the first paint colors - YIKES
And the multiple trips to Lowe's with the boys - 😍
We were supposed to do this project for our bedroom this summer, but it seemed too daunting, and we were (are) too lazy.
Honestly though, that was the best choice. We've learned from our mistakes, in a much tinier space, versus our huge ass master bedroom!
That all being said, if you are interested in doing some DIY Wainscoting / Board & Batten, I'd follow one of these tutorials, from Nesting Place or Decor Chic. I would share how we did it ourselves, but it's in no way the route I'd recommend to people. Alex and I are very much "Meh, this'll do" type of people, which works for us - but probably not for you.
